Hi Friends!!
What the what?! We sold our house! Life of real estate agent - we're always looking!
I love real estate and what financial gains it can offer. We made $140k on our first house. This house I knew we wouldn't make as much, so as soon we could possibly make $50k I wanted to sell. A house in our neighborhood went up for $415k and sold for $410k. And Ross slowly started chipping away at me to list the house.
On a Sunday, after a family dinner and conversation with a brother in law, we decided we'd start staging, cleaning up and getting it ready for pictures.
Tuesday night at 11pm, I answered an ad on Facebook from a real estate agent looking for a home for her client. The ad said -
I responded, "I have a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 3200 sft home in Herriman, $425k but it is on a cottage lot. HOA is $57/month - pool, clubhouse rental, snow removal.'
The agent asked if it was fully fenced and I said yes. I sent her a picture.
She told me she'd have her client drive by. I knew the community wouldn't sell her, she needed to come inside to see the upgrades and decorating (granted I would take all my furniture, but it's the feeling of a home that sells a client).
I sent the agent these 4 pictures to forward to her client.

'That's just her style, can we come tomorrow?' Yep.
I spent the next 2 days mad cleaning and staging. After a pizza dinner on the porch,
we left the house at 6:20p and by 7:15p the agent text, 'She wants to make an offer.'
I cried.
Full price offer. She asked for any appliances and all the curtains. We agreed to all the curtains, washer and dryer (it was 7 years old), the fridge (we had to take the doors off to get it inside... didn't want to do that again) and the mounted TV above the fireplace.
She then asked to buy all the couches, 2 sitting chairs and the large carpet remnant downstairs. We agreed to all except one couch since it's discontinued and we love it.
We sold our house for full asking price, with
one showing when it was never on the market.
