Buyer Blog: Brown Townhouse

This was a fun buyer because it was my little brother!!!

Me and the family did a couple showings at existing homes but in the end he found a new build townhouse that would be perfect for him and some

buddy renters.

We looked at this house December 2021 when the market was red hot and we had to get in there fast.

Snow doesn't slow us down.

Parker found this one on the MLS - Utah Real Estate app. We went to the model the next day and he was in love!

Paperwork got signed. Pre-approval worked out. And we were in the design center!

he wanted his kitchen to look like this one above and the model home.

modern and sleek.

design consultant - this appointments can be really overwhelming. The amount of choices is both gorgeous and fun but A LOT.

I LOVE THESE APPOINTMENTS!! It's so fun to be removed from the transaction and help buyers walk through it. Your heart is so invested, it's hard to not pick a part each other and sample.

I always take a TON of pictures. It can sooo much that a buyer may forget to grab an exact picture, so I try to capture all I can that we can both refer back to it later.

final choices

the design center was close enough that we did a quick drive by.

finally got a roof

systems were going in - i spy electrical work

exteriors!! exteriors in the winter are always challenging

drywall is in!!!!

flooring and cabinetry came in fast!!!

this stack was my brain child and I'm so proud of it!!

this is a standard tile option in the design center - standard means free. no upgrade for a sleek modern stack. the 18x18 was a standard size. it turned out so good that we continued to see it in build following Parker's. The design consultant shared our genius and i think it turned out AMAZING.

i try to check in on my builds every few weeks.

kitchen: just like the model and the design center.

floor to ceilings cabinets make such a difference!!

Blue tape walk through!!

What's a blue tape inspection?

Every builder will call it something different but it's a meeting with your superintendent or warranty department, usually scheduled a week or so before closing. They will explain all your appliances, your warranty, show you where the breaker boxes are, hose bids, how to maintain the hose bids, concrete, HVAC systems, give you tips on what to do or not to do. They are very informative and should not be missed.

can i have too much blue tape? NO!! Blue tape EVERYTHING!

Parker's blue tape inspection fell on a weekend our parents were in town. We went down to visit his townhouse -- of course I found a couple extra spots we didn't get.

just missing one brother in this picture.

i hope all the best memories and fun and in your new home Parker!!

plant and gift card were for Parker. gift basket was my other closing :)
